Mushrooms, auroras or bacteria - in the sound art exhibition cckpt (aka cockpit), the inaudible becomes audible. In installations and performances with specially developed instruments for the sonification of data, often in collaboration with scientists over many years, electromagnetic radiation is transformed into "bioelectrical sounds and music". Data from weather satellites, data from outer space, imploding stars, borealis and even bioelectric impulses from trees, microorganisms or the human body are sources for compositions or installations and performances transforming data into sound in real time.
