Sculptress of Sound – an auditory-performative spatial Installation – is an interdisciplinary project founded in 2011 by the artists Julia Bünnagel, Tamara Lorenz, and Patricia Köllges. With a focus on various fields of visual art, Sculptress of Sound is jointly developing an installation consisting of sound, light, and sculptural elements, incorporating their specific experiences from their artistic work.

TAVIDAN is the Georgian expression for "from the head" and describes the starting point of an idea or project. In a dialogue between artists from Tbilisi, Georgia, and Germany, the exhibition presents works that demonstrate the open form of contemporary art in different ways.
The selected artists work in almost all areas of the visual arts, such as painting, new media, installation, film, photography, spatial object art, and are also at home in other disciplines such as new music, fashion, organic farming, and education. Their working methods often lie at the interface between art and society, between the white cube and the field, the catwalk, or the social sphere. Tavidan aims to highlight, examine, and understand their respective spaces of meaning. The second aim of the exhibition is to connect the art scenes of Georgia and North Rhine-Westphalia. The seven artists from the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, have been invited to a 10-day residency at the Weltkunstzimmer, where they will develop their works on site—as do the six artists from Germany.
Wato Tsereteli is holding a workshop in collaboration with Oliver Blumek and students from the Düsseldorf Art Academy (Rebekka Benzenberg, Nina Blum, Björn Bock, Bastian Hoffmann, Jasmin Preiss, Oliver Russmann, Julian Wachendorf), who will develop artistic concepts under the title Big Scale - Collaborative Workshop and present them within the exhibition.
Big Scale - Collaborative workshop von Wato Tsereteli
When one thinks of Leonardo, Gandhi, or the numerous achievements in the Guinness Book of Records, the question arises in some people: What potential do I have? Artists work in many ways: rationally, intuitively, against the grain, unplanned, aesthetically... and these qualities can be found in every area of life. Art can take on almost any subject, which means it is a unique tool for engaging with aesthetic, social, or political questions. This short and intensive collaboration tackles a large amount of time and material in just 5 days, with participants realizing sketches and ideas for large, and grandly conceived, socially relevant concepts.
"Big Scale" was already realized at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in 2013. The results will be presented at the opening and discussed with the participants on Sunday, November 16.
