Gustavo Gomes is a performer, choreographer and filmmaker.
He has created his own performative works with Gustavo Gomes & Co. as well as with dance companies such as the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, the Ballet of Difference and the Osnabrücker Tanztheater. Gomes' approach consists of the investigation of language through dance and the inclusion of the body in new thresholds of theatre. His installations create a dialogue between the framed image, rituals and the theme of representation.
Gomes is a guest lecturer at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK) and the Centre for Contemporary Dance (ZZT - HfMT Cologne) in Cologne.
