Short films and videos wanted for the 5th Urban Space Video Walk!
Â
What does retreat into the interior mean for us? When is it a protective space and when is it a conflict zone? What do we see and experience when we look inside? What happens when such a place of retreat is missing or lost? The retreat into the interior can mean a familiar home, security, intimacy and shelter. At the same time, it can also mean isolation, loneliness or tension. This year's 5th Urban Space Videowalk will take place under the theme of "interior views" - on an architectural, emotional or social level, the "inside"/"inner life" will be explored on film from a wide variety of perspectives.
Â
For the 5th Videowalk, we have decided to look inwards a little. Instead of spilling out into the city, we will pause for a moment, linger and discover unknown terrain in familiar climes. On the spacious WELTKUNSTZIMMER grounds of the former baking factory, an urban video parcours will be created, which we will discover by taking a walk together. Unusual niches, hidden corners and backyard areas conquered by plants will become nightly projection surfaces and merge with the cinematic works to form a temporary cinema.
Â
Curated by Janine Blöß.
