In PRÉCIEUSES, celebrated performance artist Willie Stark, accompanied by sound artist and author Fallon Mayanja, harmonizes movement in an open performance and art installation. In a context where dance is a social language for rituals, celebrations, community, and resistance, she responds to political oppression and social marginalization through performance, material work, and art installation. Her art reflects on the restoration and reappropriation of bodies and spaces, as well as the relationship between power and marginalization, focusing on the inclusion, visibility, and empowerment of structurally discriminated people and their stories. This new work is a collaboration with Weltkunstzimmer and Freiraum Düsseldorf.
