We recommend sturdy shoes and flashlights!
The second Urban Space Video Walk on the theme “ID//under construction” explores the potential of the unfinished. This cinematic night walk takes us to various screening locations throughout Düsseldorf and links the search for identity with urban space: the human being as a creature of possibilities and the city as a space of possibilities.
Both the localization of personal identities and the identity of urban spaces are not fixed states, but dynamic negotiations of possibilities. In a constantly changing urban society, neighborhoods and public places evolve just as spatial and architectural structures do.
Together, we embark on a search for urban spaces as cinematic displays for the negotiation of identities.
The film screenings are free of charge and open to everyone, including casual visitors. The awarding of the 'Urban Space Film Prize' takes place at the end in the WELTKUNSTZIMMER, where the winning films will be shown again, accompanied by a barbecue with music to entertain the guests.
