Starving without touch. Overwhelmed by too much closeness. “Skin Hunger” explores our sometimes paradoxical human relationship with physical contact—too much, too little, never enough.
The interplay between two dancers creates a vibrant web of attraction and repulsion, contact and emptiness. Interactive objects made using e-textile technology expand the physical space, creating invisible threads between movement and material and transforming the stage into a breathing, sensitively responsive field.
“Skin Hunger” is an invitation to explore the complexity and fragility of closeness and asks how connection can arise, even where touch is lacking or boundaries are set. The audience becomes part of this immersive experience and can rediscover and question their own relationship to skin—as a barrier, a resonating surface, and a point of contact with the outside world.
