The creative courtyard of the WELTKUNSZIMMER has been home to artists of various genres since the 1980s. The history of the former baking factory is closely linked to the idea of an open space for creating, exchanging and experimenting. At Ronsdorfer Straße 77a, workspace, human community and artistic experimentation come together to create a special biotope. The WELTKUNSTZIMMER opens its doors and brings together nine artists who have more in common than just a shared address. Sculpture, painting, photography, performance and sound find their space. We show and celebrate the revitalization of the former baking factory by the artists, the deeply rooted and the newly at home.
Weltkunstzimmer Residency 2022 - Armenia, Georgia, India, Japan
The WELTKUNSTZIMMER residency offers a platform for cross-genre exchange in analog and digital spaces. The residency program consists of networking, artistic presentations, discourses and an exchange with the respective regions.
Zum Abschluss der Residency wird in den Ausstellungshallen des WELTKUNSTZIMMERs eine Präsentation der Künstler*innen realisiert, die am Mittwoch, 8. Juni 2022 eröffnen wird.
