The winners of the NPR Tiny Desk Contest 2023, Little Moon, are coming to Düsseldorf.

The avant-folk band from Provo, Utah, led by singer-songwriter Emma Hardyman, made a name for itself last year when it won the 2023 edition of the NPR Tiny Desk Contest with a rousing performance of its explosive, artfully layered song “wonder eye.” After releasing her debut album Unphased in 2020, Hardyman wanted to write a romantic album about her newlywed husband Nathan, but the universe had other plans.

Kira Hummen began as a singer-songwriter project with jazz and soul influences. Since her first self-produced album, “My Body Is The Only Place,” she has evolved into an eclectic alternative pop artist whose music could hardly be more multifaceted. IIn May 2025, they released their EP “Her Legacy.” Pop melodies that are not afraid to cross boundaries and charged lyrics that are embraced by the singer's intimate vocals. “Her Legacy” tells of the female heritage of our ancestors. The women who came before us, who paved the way, who passed on stories and wisdom, but also pain and trauma.
