The idiosyncratic title, Soramame - Heavenly Beans, represents the idea of ​​the individual embedded in a community. What fascinates us about Japanese culture? One might raise questions about the significance of personal identity and originality in relation to the needs of society as a whole. On the occasion of the exhibition, we are pleased to announce the first publication, a special catalog featuring essays by Japanese writer Akira Kuroda and German actress and author Franka Potente. The Soramame exhibition, running from May 20 to June 18, 2011, and the Butoh Festival on May 28, 2011, are the first official events of the Hans Zimmer Foundation and mark its artistic and ideological direction.
