The Mongolian bestselling author Galsan Tschinag is coming to Düsseldorf for two events. The focal point of the weekend with a reading, panel discussion and workshop is “The meaning and deeper knowledge in shamanism”.
This weekend's diverse program begins on Saturday, November 13 at 2 p.m. with the screening of the film "In the middle of a fire. Stories and images of the Tuvan nomads in Mongolia" by Gernot Stadler, followed by a reading by Galsan Tschinag. The day will end with a panel discussion between Galsan Tschinag, Wolfgang Schäfer (Artistic Director, Weltkunstzimmer) and Christine Scharlipp (Förderverein Mongolei e.V.). On Sunday, November 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Galsan Tschinag will conduct a one-day workshop, which includes a presentation, a consultation and a seminar, and will provide help for self-help.
Galsan Tschinag, an ambassador between East and West, is a brilliant storyteller and mediator of people's relationships with nature, the soil, the earth on which they live. He is the head of the Tuwa tribe from the Altai Mountains in Mongolia. The way of life of the people there reminds us of the importance of preserving this habitat globally. Galsan Tschinag's story gives us a fundamental understanding of the elements and living beings, which are mutually dependent on each other in balance.
