Compositions, soundscapes and video recordings combine to create a multi-layered collage and allow the audience to immerse themselves in the multifaceted, lively and sonorous topography of a city. The combination of old and contemporary vocal compositions, as well as sound and image recordings of urban environments, shows how the city as a living space inspires artistic visions and is in turn shaped by the arts. The diverse repertoire spans an arc from the Renaissance to the present day and makes it possible to experience the specific phenomena and sounds of city life in different eras.
